Terms of use
Last updated 21 October 2026
- Mapsy shows Android Auto from your phone on your Tesla's screen.
- Try it in your car for 10 minutes for free. After that it's a subscription through Google Play, with a free trial. Cancel any time in Google Play.
- Drive safely and follow the law. You are responsible for how you use it on the road.
- Mapsy depends on Android Auto, Tesla's browser and your mobile connection, which we don't control.
1. These terms
These terms apply when you use the Mapsy app and mapsy.uk ("Mapsy", "we"). By using Mapsy you agree to them. The privacy policy explains how we handle data.
2. What Mapsy does
Mapsy runs Android Auto on your Android phone and streams it to your Tesla's web browser, so you can use apps such as Waze, Google Maps or Spotify on the car screen. You need:
- An Android phone with Android Auto, set up as described in the app (this includes turning on an Android Auto developer setting).
- A Tesla with its web browser.
- An internet connection for the car: your phone's hotspot, Wi-Fi or Tesla's Premium Connectivity.
3. Subscription, free trial and cancelling
- Mapsy is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription through Google Play, at the price shown before you subscribe.
- Each new install of the app can show Android Auto on the car screen for 10 minutes in total without a subscription, so you can try it first. After that, streaming needs a subscription.
- New subscribers get a free trial. If you don't cancel before it ends, the subscription starts and you are charged.
- The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in Google Play (Play Store → Payments & subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Payments, refunds and billing are handled by Google Play under Google Play's terms. Contact us if something went wrong and we will help.
- A subscription is for your own use, on your own phone and car. Don't share it or resell it.
4. Safe and lawful use
- Keep your attention on the road. Set up routes and music before you drive, or when it is safe and legal.
- Follow traffic laws where you drive, including rules on using screens and phones.
- Tesla may limit its browser while the car is moving. Don't try to get around the car's safety features.
- Navigation and other apps can be wrong or out of date. Always follow road signs and conditions.
5. Things we don't control
Mapsy is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Tesla, Inc. or Google LLC. Android Auto, Tesla's browser and the apps you use through them are made by others and can change at any time, which may stop Mapsy from working until we adapt it. Mapsy also needs a working mobile connection; video quality depends on its speed and coverage.
6. Acceptable use
Don't misuse Mapsy: no attempts to break, overload or get unauthorised access to our servers, to use them for anything other than your own car screen, or to copy or resell the service.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Mapsy running but can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, improve or stop features. If we stop Mapsy entirely, we will tell you in advance and stop new renewals.
8. Liability
Mapsy is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by third-party services, your connection, or use while driving. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for Mapsy in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the laws of your country.
9. Ending
You can stop using Mapsy at any time by cancelling your subscription and uninstalling the app. We may suspend access if these terms are seriously broken.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app before they apply.
